Colts hoping Collie makes speedy recovery

INDIANAPOLIS — Austin Collie continues to tell teammates and coaches that he’s feeling well after being diagnosed with yet another concussion.

They’re hoping he will be all right.

But the usually jovial attitude inside the Colts’ locker room turned serious whenever the topic turned to Collie and his history of head injuries.

Collie has sustained at least three concussions in less than 22 months and sat out six of the last eight games and most of a seventh at the end of the 2010 season after twice leaving games following big hits.

Some players contend the forearm to the head Collie took early in Sunday’s 26-24 loss should have drawn a penalty.

All are just hoping he’s healthy enough to make it back onto the field soon.
