Gerald Naylor

Gerald Naylor of Pleasant View will celebrate his 80th birthday with his family on Monday, Aug. 27.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1932, in Salt Lake City to Twila and Bill Naylor. He married Cynthia Grob on April 17, 1952, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

He attended schools in Salt Lake City, graduating from Granite High School. He continued his education at the University of Utah and Weber State University. In 1956, he served four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Platte during the Korean War.

He started a business in glass, windows and sales in Ogden and had as many as 14 shops in Ogden, Salt Lake City and Idaho.

He served a two-year LDS mission with his wife in the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center.

He enjoys golfing, skiing and raising animals.

His children are Deborah and Doug Smith, Marc and Linda Naylor, Shauna and Scott Rhoads, Garth and Pam Naylor, and Heather Kirby. He has 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
