Lola W. Weir of South Ogden celebrated her 85th birthday with her children and siblings at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant in Brigham City on Friday, Aug. 24.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1927, in Morgan to Larry O. and Myrtle C. Woolsey.
She attended Ogden schools, graduating from Ogden High School in 1945.
She married Mark C. Woodfield on Nov. 7, 1945, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. He died on Dec. 24, 1963.
They had four children. Her children and their spouses are Mark and Sheryl Woodfield, Roy; Ken and Carolyn Barnes, Uintah Highlands; Shanna Poulson, Ogden; and Jeff and Denise Hirst, North Ogden. She has 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She later married Douglas T. Weir on Nov. 21, 1971. They enjoyed traveling, camping, shopping, gardening and spending time together. He died on Nov. 19, 2005. She has held many callings in the LDS Church and is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Her siblings are Chuck and Myrna Singleton, Holladay; and Larry and Chris Woolsey, Roy.
