Man fatally shot at Midvale apartment

MIDVALE— Police are searching for leads in the shooting death of a 31-year-old man at a Midvale apartment early Sunday morning.

Unified Police Department spokesman Justin Hoyal says Justen Lefave died shortly after arriving at a hospital.

Hoyal says Lefave received a knock on the door at a Wasatch Club Apartments unit shortly before 5:30 a.m. and talked to the suspect after he opened the door.

The suspect then shot Lefave and fled at a high rate of speed in a GMC Yukon with two women.

The suspect was described as a white, bald male with a heavy build and tattoos.
