Weber County Main Library to update computer lab

OGDEN — The Weber County Main Library, 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden, will be closing its computer lab Sept. 10 to install new computers and software on 11 of its machines.

The new software will be available to the public beginning Sept. 17. During the closure, other computers will be available for use.

With the changes, the computers will run on a virtual desktop infrastructure and will include Windows 7 Professional, Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Acrobat Standard X, Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Adobe Lightroom 4.1 and Winway Resume Deluxe 14.

Other software will include Mango Languages Online Learning System and Sketchup 8. All computers will have USB ports and headphone jacks.
