LAYTON — A 14-year-old girl is recovering today from injuries incurred late Monday night when a pickup truck crashed into the family home.
Eliza Haynie was in a computer room when the truck smashed into the outside wall of the house about 10:45 p.m. The force of the collision knocked over most of the wall and Eliza was buried in the debris.
She was rescued by her 18-year-old brother, Austin.
Eliza suffered a concussion.
Police are still investigating and aren’t yet sure what caused the truck to strike the house.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to an area hospital. His name and medical condition were not immediately available.STORY:201208280020Brother rescues teen sister after truck strikes layton home/Local/2012/08/28/Brother-rescues-teen-sister-after-truck-strikes-layton-home.html-1
