World's threats endure as GOP convention continues

At the NAM (Non-aligned Movement) in Tehran (Aug. 26-31) The new NAM president, Iran’s Ayathollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in his opening speech "The Summit will mark a turning point in the history (33 year history) of the Islamic Republic of Iran at a time when certain western countries (U.S., Britain) and the Zionist regime (Israel) are making efforts to isolate Iran in the international arena."

As the Republican National Convention meets, Hurricane Isaac is hitting New Orleans, seven years to the day after Hurricane Katrina hit on the Feast Day of the beheading of John the Baptist (Aug. 29), and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke is prepared to announce his big economic surprise on the August Blue Moon. The biggest meeting against U.S. imperialism is taking place in Tehran, with 150 nations including the U.N. and 20 "think tanks" opposed to the U.S,, many of which operate inside the U.S.

The Brookings Institute ran an article "Time to Strike Iran," Cuban and Venezuelan dictators Raul Castro and Hugo Chavez, Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, North Korea and Iraqi dictators are all decrying U.S. aggression. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood will hand the reins of the second most influential world body to Shia "Twelver" controlled Iran.

Mitt Romney’s foreign policy adviser Eliot Abrams wrote in the Weekly Standard, "Time to authorize the use of force against Iran." JINSA (Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs) wrote, "Prepare to use military force at the optimal time regardless of elections..." Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls the U.S. "Great Satan."
