Marc Badger and Katherine McKinstry were married in a Quaker ceremony Aug. 11 at Belton Chalet in West Glacier, Mont. After an exchange of vows and rings, there was a sharing of good memories, advice and well wishes by many. The celebration continued with dinner and dancing.
The bride is the daughter of John McKinstry and Nancy Crickman of Swarthmore, Pa. She is a graduate of Westtown School and Yale University with degrees in history and engineering. While at Yale, she was captain of the cross country team. She is now in the mechanical engineering doctorate program at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is interested in sustainable manufacturing and waste reduction practices.
Parents of the bridegroom are Lee and Roz Badger of Ogden. He is a 2006 graduate of Ogden High School and Harvey Mudd College with a degree in physics. While at Harvey Mudd College, he received a National Science Foundation fellowship for graduate research. He is a doctorate student at the University of California, Berkeley, in the integrative biology department, studying hummingbird flight.
They returned to Berkeley from West Glacier by train.
