Last week: Ostler is the defensive anchor for the 6-0 Darts which have tossed three straight shutouts, including a 7-0 blanking of Syracuse on Thursday in the Region 1 opener.
Ostler on her performance: “I think as the season goes on we’ll probably get stronger. We can always fix a bunch of things. We have a huge team goal of focusing on (winning) region for the sixth year in a row. That would give us a good placement for the state playoffos. The senior group — being our last year — would like to go as far as we can and end on a good note. The captains want to unite the team as one and have fun.”
Coach Souli Phongsavath on Ostler: “I love how consistent she is and that she is also very versatile. She’s one of my favorite players to coach because she’s willing to do what the team needs. She’s a captain on the team and all the girls look up to her.”
After high school: “I have committed to play soccer for Utah Valley University with a nice scholarship. I’m thinking about going into athletic training.”
