Nevada woman wins rodeo title

OGDEN — For the first time, a Nevada woman has won the title of Miss Wilderness Circuit.

The new queen will reign over Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association activities in Utah, Nevada and southern Idaho. In a contest held Saturday at the Comfort Suites Hotel and at the Golden Spike Event Center, Rebecca Dunne, 20, of Las Vegas, was named the winner.

Dunne won all major areas of competition. She was named as the top finisher in the speech, personality, appearance and horsemanship contests.

First runner-up was Brandy Mortensen, 22, of Springville. She also won the category of most creative free-style horsemanship.

Second runner-up was Shianne Lowe, 18, of West Haven.

Miss Congeniality was Paige Morgan, 22, of Provo.
