Annette and Gary Saxton

Gary and Annette Saxton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 15. Their children will honor them with an open house at 5 p.m. at the Rockcliff LDS 5th Ward, 3rd Street and Iowa.
They were married Sept. 5, 1962, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple and have lived in the Ogden area.
They have four children: Scott and Kris Saxton, Chad and Michelle Saxton, Michelle Olsen and Shaun Saxton (deceased). They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years and drove a school bus for 10 years.
She attended St. Benedict’s School of Nursing, where she received a diploma as a registered nurse. She was part of a surgical unit and did home care for 35 years. She worked at the old St. Benedict’s and Ogden Regional hospitals.
Their favorite activity is square dancing, and they traveled to many square dancing activities with their friends.
They have been active in church and served in many positions. He enjoyed serving as a finance clerk for 35 years.
