LuDene Bowen Carter of Morgan will be honored for her 80th birthday. Friends and family are welcome to attend an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Field Street LDS church, 200 S. 300 West, Morgan. No gifts.
She was born in Logan on Sept. 8, 1932, to Asel and Elva Bowen. She lived in Utah and Idaho as a child, however; she has lived in Morgan most of her life.
In 1949, she married her sweetheart, Ivan Carter, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
They have nine children, 32 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
