Small grass fire being investigated

RIVERDALE — Officials here were investigating the cause of a small grass fire early Monday morning in the city’s Frisbee golf area.

Riverdale Fire Capt. David Ermer said the 1:30 a.m. fire started in a small pile of green waste behind the city offices and burned less than a quarter-acre.

Washington Terrace Fire Department also responded.
