LAYTON -- A man who appeared to be having seizures was booked in jail on suspicion of felony lewdness, police say.
Terrell Christian Sorensen, 40, of Layton, is facing a felony charge because it is the third time he has been arrested for exposing himself, said Layton Police Lt. Garret Atkin.
A customer at Smith's, 1170 E. Gentile St. in Layton, was returning her shopping cart Tuesday when she saw a man in a car who appeared to be having seizures, Atkin said.
The woman approached the car and saw the man was masturbating, Atkin said.
Police were called, and Sorensen was booked in Davis County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
According to the court website, Sorensen pleaded guilty to two counts of class B misdemeanor lewdness, one in 2002 and the other in 2008. He was arrested by Layton police both times.
The Davis County Attorney's Office is reviewing the case before filing formal charges in 2nd District Court.
