Herbert orders flags lowered after attack in Libya

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has ordered American and state flags be lowered through the weekend in memory of a U.S. ambassador killed in Libya.

Herbert says flags should remain at half-staff on all state facilities through sunset Sunday.

The governor says he was shocked and grieved to hear of the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans during an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi earlier this week, and says such attacks should be condemned at every turn.
