HARRISVILLE -- Two teenage girls suffered minor injuries in a two-car collision Friday night that left one of the vehicles in the front yard of a nearby house.
Harrisville Police Sgt. Chris Rowley said a Mercury Sable was heading south on Washington Boulevard and a red Suzuki was turning left out of the Walmart parking lot to head north on Washington.
The two cars collided and the Sable crossed Washington and ended up in the front yard of a home at 525 N. Washington. Shrubbery in the yard stopped the car before it hit the home.
The driver of the Sable ran away after the crash, Rowley said.
Two teenage girls in the Suzuki were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
