Davis Democrats get to meet candidates

LAYTON — Davis County voters will be given the opportunity to meet many of their Democratic candidates at a Thursday barbecue.

The barbecue will be provided by Sill’s Cafe of Layton, said Michelle Hill, event organizer.

The barbecue will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Andy Adams Park, 1000 N. Gordon Ave., Layton.

The party asks those attending the barbecue to bring a canned food donation for the Family Connection Center of Layton, Hill said.

Candidates expected to attend are Donna McAleer, running for the U.S. Congressional District 1 seat, and Doug Sill, challenging for House District 16.

Steve Andersen, Democratic candidate for Davis County commissioner, and U.S. Senate candidate Scott Howell also are to attend.
