Fee increase now on Centerville’s schedule

CENTERVILLE -- Fees initially approved in August now are officially part of the city's fee schedule.

The city council adopted an ordinance amending the fire and emergency services impact fees at its first August meeting. Those fees, which are charged at the time a building permit is issued for a new structure, were increased to cover costs.

Though the ordinance was changed to reflect the fee increases, the city had to add those fees to the schedule via the newly approved ordinance.

The increased revenues are meant to help pay debt associated with the new fire stations built within the South Davis Metro Fire Agency service area, according to city documents.
