W. Valley teen arrested after shooting death of stepfather

WEST VALLEY CITY — A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after the shooting death of his stepfather in West Valley City.

Police say 52-year-old James George died Saturday as a result of injuries suffered in the Thursday night shooting.

He was found inside his home with multiple gunshot wounds and flown to a hospital in critical condition. His wife and stepson were at the home when police arrived.

Police say the teen was booked into a juvenile detention center, and prosecutors will screen charges this week.

An investigation continues into the shooting.
