BRIGHAM CITY -- The Bees showed off their Thursday night football form, unleashing a strong offensive attack in a 40-22 Region 5 victory at home.

After giving up the first scored of the game, the Bees turned it on, chewing up the scoreboard with four straight touchdown and 29-7 lead.

The visiting Bobcats added a TD and field goal before halftime to keep things close, but Robbie Gunter's Bees came out and scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to salt the contest away.

The win pushed the Bees to 2-0 in Region 5 play, ahead of the rest of the league at least for a night, and 5-1 overall.

The Bobcats -- who had defeated the Bees in five of the last six meetings -- fell to 0-2, 2-4 overall. Braxton Godderidge and Daniel Lemon hooked up on TD passes of 15 and 34 yards to bookend the scoring, but had no answer for the Bees' balance.

Kyler Allen capped off three scoring drives with TD bursts of 32, 5 and 16 yards. After missing last Friday's game, Allen was primed to contribute to the Bees' ground game.

Shad Watson tossed a 27-yard TD pass to Jayk Brooks just before halftime. In the late-going, Brecking Gunter scored on a 5-yard TD plunge and McKay Parrish added a 38-yard field goal to go along with his five PATs.

Box Elder took advantage of four Sky View turnovers, and added a third-quarter safety.

Box Elder leads the all-time series 23-20-3.
