Softball tournament set to raise money

OGDEN -- The Weber County recreation department and Team Piggy will host a fundraising softball tournament, on Oct. 1-5, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Players are invited to donate and dress in pink. Each team will sponsor a breast cancer survivor, who will throw out the first pitch at each game during that week.

The team who raises the most money will receive a swag bag full of goodies from Team Piggy, who will donate 100 percent of the donations to the Susan G. Komen 3Day for the Cure, at which Team Piggy members will each be walking 60 miles in three days.
