KAYSVILLE -- Police are looking for a 47-year-old man which they believe is a person of interest in a shooting at the Tanner Acres Apartments, near 600 West Mutton Hollow Road.

SWAT teams from Davis County and Bountiful are at the scene looking for a man they believe may still be inside one of the apartments. Several other agencies, including the Kaysville Police department, were also in the scene.

The shooting was reported at 2:27 p.m. Friday, said Centerville Assistant Police Chief Paul Child, who is assisting in the investigation. One man was flown to a Salt Lake City hospital with critical injuries, Child said.

Police believe the shooter is said to have shot the man multiple times at the apartment complex, Child said. A third man also shot at the suspect multiple times as he left on foot.

The man police are looking for is described as 5-foot, 10-inches tall, weighing 170 to 175 pounds, and wearing along sleeve blue shirt and a black baseball cap. He was also smoking.

Child said they did not know what led to the shooting, at this time. They also do not know how the three men are connected.

Residents at the apartment complex are being told to stay in their homes.
