Dennie and Geraldine Prevedel of West Haven celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August with a cruise to Alaska. They will also be honored at a family dinner hosted by their children Scott Prevedel, Karen Prevedel and Wayne Prevedel, along with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
They were married on Sept. 19, 1952, in Hooper.
The youngest son of Floriano and Angelina Prevedel, he was born and raised in Kanesville.
He worked hard operating the family dairy business. Although they have sold the dairy cows, he continues to farm with his youngest son.
He enjoys watching sports, especially Weber State University basketball and the Utah Jazz. He has a reserved spot each morning at Moore’s Family Restaurant, where he visits with longtime friends over a cup of coffee.
The youngest daughter of John Dale and Frances Russell, she was born and raised in Hooper. Raised on a farm, she also learned the importance of hard work.
She attended Weber College. She continues working as a building manager for the Old Post Office Building in Ogden, working for Red Gate Properties. Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has held many callings on ward and stake levels. She enjoys cooking, especially her homemade candy, and her kitchen is open to everyone.
They enjoy dancing and their date night continues to be every Saturday. Throughout the years, they have enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Weber High School graduates, each June they celebrate with their friends from the class of 1948. They continue to support their community and family.
