GOP voted against bill to help veterans

Here we go again. We send our troops off to war and when they return and are not needed anymore, we forget what they did for us to keep us free and safe. Nothing makes this more clear than what the Republicans did in voting to stop the latest bill that would hire them and give them jobs. Why can’t they remember the next time they want to send them off to war and into harms way, that it was the veteran who made it possible for the freedom of the press, the freedom of speech, the freedom of elections, the freedom of religion and the freedom to assemble?

Who are these individuals who have turned their backs on them? They’re made up of most draft dodging cowards lead by John Boehner, Mitch McConnell et.al. and the rest of the names can be found at ask.com. Then plug in chickenhawks.net. There, one can find out who is and who isn’t a true patriot from the phony ones. Here’s the one that really gets my goat. Many, and I mean many, non-veterans are hired at Hill Air Force Base because their fathers and mothers have influence there and the veterans who served are by-passed. Wasn’t civil service meant for the veterans in the first place?

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, yes, I served for more than 20 in our country’s military, and I am a proud veteran who will never stop fighting for our rights.
