Fundraiser planned for Ogden man

OGDEN — Timm Gehrett was diagnosed with a fast-growing malignant tumor Sept. 1.

Friends of the Gehrett family will host a fundraiser yard sale and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Heiners Insurance, 609 Washington Blvd.

The Ogden resident, a native of Casper, Wyo., underwent extensive surgery to remove the tumor Sept. 8.

After doctors could remove only 90 percent of the tumor, Gehrett, 34, was given three to 15 months to live.

A full-time student at Salt Lake Community College and employed, Gehrett has been forced by the disease to quit school and work.

He and his wife are parents to five children, ages 6 to 15.

The family does not have insurance of any kind and now have no income.

Modern Woodman Insurance has offered to match funds raised during the event.

For more information, call Jami Tolman at 801-612-9756 or 801-706-2566.
