Police look into Roy break-ins

ROY — Police are investigating break-ins at two Roy businesses.

Around 3:50 a.m. Monday, officers were called to You Can Tan, 4456 S. 1900 West, and Shabby 2 Sheek hair salon, 4484 S. 1900 West, said Roy Sgt. Curtis Gibson.

Police found the glass doors to both businesses broken. Thieves took $65 in cash from Shabby 2 Sheek, but nothing was stolen from You Can Tan, said Gibson. Damage to each door is estimated at about $300.

Police returned to Shabby 2 Sheek around 10 a.m. Tuesday to a report of another burglary. The owner of the business, who declined to be identified, said a couple of hundred dollars in hair care products were stolen and entry was gained by jimmying a deadbolt to a door.
