Public invited to AAUW fall kickoff with new officers

OGDEN — Kicking off the new season, the Greater Ogden branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its opening meeting with the installation of new officers from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ogden Golf and Country Club.

State AAUW leaders will install the new officers as they look toward the “Passion and Vision of AAUW, Past and Present.”

The meeting is open to the public and those who attend are encouraged to bring guests.

New officers are:

• President Collette Greenwood, who recently moved to Ogden after AAUW leadership elsewhere.

• Treasurer Karen Elkington. who is a former state and local AAUW president.

• Secretary Mary Ann Carter, who also is membership vice president and a former branch president.

• Program vice president Polly (Mary) Harrington, who is the former membership and program vice president and communicator.

Men or women concerned with equity for women, education and self-development and positive societal change are invited to the meeting. Upon arrival participants may order brunch at the meeting.
