ROY — A Roy man on Friday was charged with one count of first-degree sodomy on a juvenile, four counts of second-degree felony sexual abuse of a child, and one count of dealing in harmful material to a minor.
According to the Roy Police Department, Allen J. Hoopes showed his 14-year-old victim graphic images, then asked the teen to perform the acts pictured.
Hoopes was ordered held on $65,000 bail in the Weber County Jail. Roy Police Sgt. Danny Hammon, the investigating officer, said Hoopes will be arraigned Monday or Tuesday in 2nd District Court.
