Donna and Don WIlson...
Don and Donna Wilson of Ogden will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4 while visiting family in Nashville, Tenn. The Wilsons are in Nashville attending a family reunion.
They were married Oct. 4, 1952, in the Methodist Church in Bentonville, Ark., during his Air Force tour of duty. She is originally from Topeka, Kan., where the couple met while he was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base near Topeka.The couple have four children: Steve Wilson, Scott Wilson and Penny Wilson, all of Ogden; and Thomas Wilson of Layton. A son and daughter are deceased: Dan Wilson and Edee Wilson.
They have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The couple enjoys family get-togethers and hosting family dinners on special occasions. Both are avid readers and enjoy dining out and visiting with friends.
He retired from Thiokol Corp. in 1994 after 13 years as an ordinance engineer. He was previously employed for 13 years at Snow Basin Ski Resort. Before that, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.
