Free concert today on WSU campus

OGDEN — In a celebration of the indie spirit of college radio, KWCR 88.1 FM presents College Radio Days, with a day of live music broadcasting, culminating in the first concert of the WSU Free Concert Series for 2012-13.

The concert is at 6 p.m. today in the Shepherd Union Ballroom on the Weber State University campus, 3848 Harrison Blvd.

Bands playing include Book on Tape Worm, of Provo, Michael Gross and The Statuettes, of Salt Lake City, and Mermaid Baby, of Layton.

College Radio Days started in 2010 to celebrate the independent, often-regional music and programming played by such stations.

Select stations feature worldwide broadcasts, harnessing the combined listenership of hundreds of thousands of worldwide college radio listeners.
