Boise State equipment truck hits cow in New Mexico

BOISE, Idaho — A semitrailer hauling Boise State’s football equipment to a weekend game in Mississippi struck and killed a cow in New Mexico, damaging the tractor pulling the load.

School officials say the collision happened early Wednesday about an hour outside Albuquerque, N.M.

The Idaho Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/Riv9sC ) the drivers were not injured and the trailer and its contents were not damaged. The company that hauls the equipment rented a new tractor and was able to continue on to Hattiesburg, Miss.

The Broncos play at Southern Mississippi on Saturday.
