OGDEN — The weather is starting to cool off, which means more people will be spending time indoors, so what a perfect time to start thinking about home-improvement projects.
The Standard-Examiner Fall Home Show & Spa Expo, which began Friday and continues 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Weber County Fairgrounds, can help.
Admission for this year’s show is $1, or free with a Standard-Examiner coupon.
In addition, the first 200 attendees today will be entered to win a Kindle Fire. The drawing will be held at noon, and you must be present to win.
“We will have hourly demonstrations at the show,” said Jennifer Thorpe, who works in the Standard-Examiner promotions department.
“The seminars and demos will cover a variety of home- and fall-related topics, including Dutch oven cooking, do-it-yourself tile and gardening.”
Spas, hot tubs and saunas will also be on display, as well as ideas for windows, roofing, solar skylights, awnings and patio covers and more, Thorpe said.
“The fall show is a great place to get ideas on fall home-improvement projects.
“The two-day event provides visitors with the opportunity to check out what’s new in products and services,” Thorpe said. “With a variety of vendors on site, homeowners can compare prices, products and more in one convenient location.”
