Roadblock planned to find poachers

MONTE CRISTO — The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will conduct a road block at the snowmobile parking lot off of Highway 39 near Monte Cristo to check for poaching from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 21.

The roadblock will help conservation officers ensure that wildlife is protected from poaching by contacting people engaged in wildlife activity, such as hunters, and checking for compliance, according to a news release from DWR.

The DWR also asks residents to report unlawful or suspicious wildlife activity to the Help Stop Poaching Hotline at 1-800-662-3337.
