OGDEN -- Fire crews put out the last of the hot spots Monday that remained from a blaze that burned about 40 acres in Ogden Canyon on Sunday afternoon.
Weber Fire District and the U.S. Forest Service sent three crews with about 11 people Monday morning to wrap up the wildfire, Ogden Fire Deputy Chief Matt Schwenk said.
Crews declared the fire 100 percent contained Sunday night, before Weber Fire District completely took it over.
No injuries were reported, Schwenk said, as a result of the fire, and no property was at risk, either.
"The wind was pushing it up the hill away from the homes, so we didn't have any issues that way," Schwenk said.
The case still remains under investigation, but Schwenk said investigators have determined that it was human-caused.
