Editor, I have read the article in The Ogden Standard Examiner, Oct. 2, 2012 about the ramblings of Craig Foster at the Weber State University Alumni Center, noting a national poll that 18 percent of Americans could not vote for a Mormon; or, if a Mormon can be trusted to be president of the United States ("Romney’s ‘Mormon issues’ will affect presidential election, authors say"). This question also arose when Kennedy, a Catholic, ran for the presidency. Well, can anyone be trusted based on one’s religion? This political campaign has got to be the dirtiest in memory. It’s a campaign of me and the heck with you. So, be liberal and be proud of your beliefs, but do you really think the future is bright with Obama and his hidden agenda and his record of the past four years? Is the U.S. better off today than four years ago? No, it’s not, and it’s getting worse. I believe our country is run by a bunch of blithering educated idiots. We are led by a very liberal (progressive) media and radical politicians. Misinformation is constantly generated by them. Facts are far and in-between. The opinions of the pundits are just that, opinions. It is very difficult to tell truth from fiction. Mitt Romney is a good and honest man with strong ideas and will lead us away from the path of despair and disaster, unlike his adversary in the White House. He will get the job done. He is a no-nonsense candidate who will strive to regain this nation’s respect and well being in the world, with no apologies to anyone. George P. Fleming Farr West
