Traffic stop leads to meth, marijuana arrest

OGDEN — A stop-sign violation has led to an arrest on drug charges.

Ogden police officers stopped Joshua Vasquez, 29, in the 1300 block of 21st Street at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Chad Ledford.

After arresting Vasquez for driving on a suspended license, police discovered he had a police scanner, some white pills, a silver pipe with marijuana residue and several baggies holding marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police booked Vasquez into Weber County Jail for driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a church or school.
