CASTLE DALE -- Authorities say they found the body of a hunter missing in Emery County and that he may have died after being thrown from his horse.
Emery County Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Thomas said Thursday search crews found 64-year-old Ken Moosman was found in steep, rugged terrain in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. They found his body Tuesday afternoon.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Moosman's family reported him overdue from his trip Monday night.
Thomas says investigators believe he died after being thrown from his horse. Searchers found the horse near his body and it was still saddled and tangled in brush.
A Utah Department of Transportation helicopter helped with the search.
