Francis to speak on ‘Faith Principles’

OGDEN — The public is invited to a free talk by JaNae Francis, of Hooper, religion and general news reporter for the Standard-Examiner, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ogden Golf and Country Club, 4197 S. Washington Blvd.

The talk, “Down to Basics: Faith Principles for All,” is sponsored by the Greater Ogden Branch of the American Association of University Women.

Francis, who has a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from Weber State University, has been a journalist for 22 years. Recently, she began writing a religion column titled Spiritual Reflections. The column covers faith principles for all in a diverse world.

Francis has earned several awards for her work, including recognition by the Salt Lake Interfaith Round Table for her comprehensive religion coverage.

“I’ve noticed that even though people have diverse religions, the principles remain the same,” Francis said.

Those wishing to have brunch may order as they arrive, but brunch is not necessary.
