Robert Spencer Terry of Roy celebrated his 80th birthday at a family gathering at his home on Oct. 7.
He was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Ogden to Raymond F. and Stella Terry.
He married Elda Schneider on Nov. 26, 1952, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
Born in Ogden, he moved to Roy when he was 2 years old. He graduated from Weber High School in 1951 and married Elda Terry in 1952. He then served two years with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base. After graduating from Weber State College as an electrical engineer, he worked for Westinghouse. After retirement, he and his wife served an LDS mission in the Washington D.C. Temple. He enjoys traveling, biking and spending time with his family.
Their children and spouses are Peggy and Malin Erickson, Robin and Mark Ferrin, Rodney and Janet Terry, and Michael and Natalie Terry.
