Meth found at scene of fatal S. Utah crash

TOQUERVILLE — Utah Highway Patrol officials say they found methamphetamine in the debris of a deadly southern Utah crash near Toquerville.

Troopers say a red 1986 Corvette was headed north on Interstate 15 about 2 p.m. Monday when the driver somehow lost control. The car crossed through a closed construction zone before launching off an embankment.

Authorities say the Corvette rolled end over end before landing on its roof.

The adult male driver died on the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Troopers are investigating whether the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
