Crowley shouldn't have injected herself into debate

In the second presidential debate, Candy Crowley was not an impartial referee as duty required. She gave more time to Obama than to Romney (as happened in the first debate also). But even worse, she injected herself in the debate several times, cutting off Mitt Romney when he was making his strongest attacks. She did not let Romney finish his point about the "Fast and Furious" scandal that resulted in American weapons killing Mexican and American authorities.

Even more egregious, she cut off Romney and told him he was wrong about Obama's first response to the Benghazi debacle, though she admitted later that evening in a panel discussion that Romney was substantially correct.

As a former participant, coach, and judge of high school and college debate, I can state emphatically that there is absolutely no excuse for a moderator to inject herself into the debate in that manner. It is an abuse of the public trust, perhaps the starkest example of the long-standing media bias toward President Obama.
