Brigham City Library to host talk on welfare state

BRIGHAM CITY — Heath Mitton will present “Since the New Deal: Whose Welfare State?” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Brigham City Library, 26 E. Forest St.

Mitton’s discussion is part of the library’s three-part series titled “Taking the Politics Out of Understanding American Politics.” This session on welfare is the second session. Admission is free.

Mitton is an assistant professor of history at Utah State University.
