Council approves new liquor license

LAYTON — The city council has approved a request for an on-premise liquor license for Tony’s Grill and Sushi Bar at 22 N. Main St.

The council vote was unanimous to approve the license request for the business owned by Tony Hoag.

Bill Wright, director of Community Development, noted the license request met all the buffer requirements in distance from schools and churches and that the applicant had undergone a background check.
