CENTERVILLE -- Centerville police, along with Utah High Patrol and the Utah Highway Safety Office, will conduct a roadside checkpoint Saturday.
Centerville police are partnering with Top Stop gas station, Wendy's Restaurants, In-N-Out Burgers and the Utah Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving to improve safety on the roads.
Wendy's Restaurants and In-N-Out Burgers in Centerville have donated meal coupons for officers to give to designated drivers at the checkpoint as a way to thank them for keeping the roads safe, police said.
The Utah Chapter of MADD will provide food for officers at the checkpoint, and Top Stop gas station is allowing the officers to use their parking lot for the checkpoint.
The checkpoint will begin Saturday evening and last until early morning Sunday at 800 W. Parrish Lanee.
Checkpoint officers will also patrol the area watching for impaired drivers.
