SALT LAKE CITY — Police say a 15-year-old boy is in extremely critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck in a Salt Lake City crosswalk. The crash happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday. Sgt. Shawn Josephson says the teenager was crossing the road at 600 North and 900 West when he was hit by a truck making a turn. Josephson says the male driver stayed at the scene. Police say the boy was taken to a hospital with head injuries.
