BRIGHAM CITY -- The Ogden LDS Institute of Religion will present a free public concert titled "A Temple, A Tabernacle, A Time to Remember" at 7 p.m. next Saturday in the Brigham City Tabernacle.
The program will feature the Institute Choralaires, the auditioned choir of the Institute.
Choralaires consists of 90 members who sing under the direction of Alan T. Saunders.
"This event will delight and inspire as an evening of music and tribute to both the Brigham City area and those who have attended the Ogden LDS Institute," states an institute news release.
Some of the songs of worship that will be performed include: "For the Beauty of the Earth," "How Firm a Foundation" and "Fairest Lord Jesus."
A fundamental reason for this event is to perform sacred music that is otherwise not afforded a public venue, states the news release.
It also is designed as an opportunity for friends and family of members of the choir to hear most of the sacred repertoire that will not be performed in the annual Christmas Spectacular, which will be held Dec. 7-8 on the campus of Weber State University.
"It will be an outstanding evening of talent and testimony," states the release. "We hope you will join us for this exciting performance!"
