Sandy author Angela Miller signs and discusses “Quest Holders” (Tate Publishing, $12.99) 1-3 p.m. Saturday.

Arizona author Jennifer Griffith signs and discusses “Big in Japan” 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, 1780 N. Woodland Park Drive, Layton, and 7-8 p.m. Saturday at The King’s English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East, Salt Lake City.

-- Brigham City Library continues its reading/discussion series “Rule of Law” at 7 p.m. Thursday with “A Matter of Interpretation: Federal Courts and the Law” by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Thom Kuehls of Weber State University will lead the free discussion at the library, 26 E. Forest St., Brigham City.
-- Award-winning California author Neal Shusterman will be speaking at 6 p.m. Thursday at Weber High School, 3650 N. 500 West, Pleasant View. The event is free to the public. A book signing will follow and Shusterman’s books will be available for sale. No credit cards.
