Eva Colaizzi Rauzi of Layton will celebrate her 90th birthday. Family and friends are welcome to attend an open house in her honor from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Apple Village Assisted Living, 2600 Hobbs View Circle, Layton. She will also be honored at a private lunch on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant in Brigham City.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1922, in Ogden to Oreste and Lucia Colaizzi. She married Aldo Rauzi in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ogden on Jan. 10, 1948, and later moved to Roy.
She graduated from Weber High School in 1941 and worked as a secretary for the Southern Pacific Railroad and later a keypunch operator for the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.
She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States with her sister and brother: Rose Rey and John Colaizzi (both deceased).
Her children and their spouses are Johnny and Lise Rauzi, and Lillian and Duane Swallow. She has four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
