SALT LAKE CITY— Salt Lake City police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was fatally shot at a party.

Authorities say Valentin Sigala Jr. was at a party on Glendale Drive when he was shot in the chest a little before 5 a.m. Sunday.

Police say they responded to the scene, but didn’t find the victim there. Police Lt. Scott White says Sigala’s friends apparently loaded him into a vehicle and dropped him off at Intermountain Medical Center before leaving the hospital.

Sigala was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say they’ve interviewed seven or eight witnesses, but are still seeking a 22-year-old man for questioning. They say he was last seen driving a beige Chevy Trailblazer and may have fled to Nevada.
