SALT LAKE CITY — The body of an 80-year-old man who disappeared a week ago has been found in a canyon on Mount Olympus. Officials say Fritz Helland’s body was found Wednesday night in a snow-packed area about a mile and a half away from the Neffs Canyon trailhead. Helland disappeared Oct. 24 when he told a family member he was taking his dog for a walk. Unified Police say hikers discovered the body. Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder says he believes Helland slipped in a "very rugged area" and fell down an incline.
